Throw Back Thursday: Sculpture from Ten Years Ago

I thought I would get into the trend of Throw Back Thursday and post a picture of a sculpture I made ten years ago.  It is always nice to revisit the past and see where I have been with my work and I wanted to share some of my old works with you.

Things have changed drastically since this was made in my approach and technique but this is a great example of the process involved in my craft.  I experimented with this technique of building up the forms from solid steel rods of varying thickness to build the muscles and tendons.  This was later simplified and refined but this sculpture is one of a series of works made in this way that helped define the current look of my work.

Enjoy!
