Summer Installations!

I just returned from a great trip installing two sculptures in Illinois and North Carolina.  The first installation was in Decatur, Illinois in the new Scovill Sculpture Park  located between the Scoville Zoo and The Children’s Museum of Illinois.  The Decatur Parks Foundation, along with the Decatur Park District, Children’s Museum of Illinois and Decatur Area Arts Council have created a wonderful environment for sculpture that showcases my sculpture, Valkyrie, very well.

The second installation was in Cary, North Carolina with the Cary Visual Arts Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition. My sculpture Larm was installed right in front of the Cary Town Hall on Academy Street.  I have been applying to this show for many years and was thrilled to be chosen for this year’s exhibition.

In addition to a wonderful location I was awarded the Best in Show Prize! Check out the sculpture and location in the image below (click to enlarge).

In addition to these two great installations, earlier this summer I placed two sculptures in downtown Chicago with the Chicago Sculpture Exhibition.  Swinging II and Winged Glory will be on view for the next year so if you are in the area please seek them out!

Lastly, please remember to visit my sculpture Belvedere Torso if you are in Manhattan which will be on display in Marcus Garvey Park until August 1st!  Info Click Here
